There are several ways to improve your health through diet. Here are some tips to include.
- Aim for color on your plate. Try to make your plate have as many different colors as possible, ensuring you get different vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients. Remember to eat the rainbow. Instead of a salad with just lettuce and tomatoes, try having one with lettuce, tomato, carrots, yellow bell peppers, beets, and mushrooms (you could also include fruits).
- Choose suitable food sources. Increase the amount of complex high fiber carbs, low-fat protein sources, and plant-based fats.
